Refund Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund for a paid RecallStream subscription. It supplements the billing terms in our Terms of Service. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle, and refunds are handled in accordance with this policy and Paddle’s buyer terms.

Payments for RecallStream subscriptions are collected and processed by Paddle, which acts as our authorised reseller and merchant of record. This means Paddle handles the checkout, invoicing, applicable sales tax and VAT, and the mechanics of any refund. Your payment card statement may show a charge from Paddle or RecallStream.

Because Paddle is the merchant of record, a refund is ultimately subject to their buyer terms in addition to this policy. Where this policy grants you a refund, we will instruct Paddle to issue it.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly granted below, subscription fees are non-refundable, and cancelling a subscription stops future renewals rather than refunding the current period.

RecallStream offers a free plan and public documentation so you can evaluate the data, coverage, and API before you pay. We encourage you to trial the Service on the free plan before upgrading.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. That right ends early when, after purchase and with your prior express consent to immediate performance, you first make use of a paid entitlement — for example issuing or using an API key, receiving data from a paid-tier source, or enabling a paid alert channel — and you acknowledge that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. Merely signing in does not, by itself, end the withdrawal right.

If you have not yet made use of any paid entitlement after purchase, contact us within 14 days for a full refund.

The statutory right of withdrawal applies to consumers (individuals acting outside a trade, business, or profession). If you purchase a RecallStream subscription as a business or in a professional capacity, the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply, and refunds are governed by the general and discretionary provisions below. Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, statutory refund rights are exercised against Paddle as your counterparty; we will support and instruct any refund we grant.

We want you to be satisfied. If the Service materially fails to work as described — for example, a sustained outage of the data API attributable to us — contact us and we will review your account in good faith and may issue a full or prorated refund at our discretion.

  • Duplicate charges or accidental purchases reported promptly.
  • Renewals you tell us you intended to cancel, reported within a reasonable period after renewal.
  • Documented, sustained failures of a core feature covered by your plan.

Refunds are not provided for partial use of a billing period, for changes in your own requirements, or for source-data gaps that reflect what the underlying government agencies publish (see our Sources page and the data disclaimer in our Terms).

Email support@recallstream.com from the address associated with your account, including your order or invoice number (from your Paddle receipt) and the reason for the request. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method. The time for funds to appear depends on your payment provider and is typically 5–10 business days.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of your account pending resolution with Paddle.
