Yes, upgrade or downgrade from your account settings. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Upgrades take effect immediately, with a prorated charge for the remainder of the period.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. EU/UK consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, which ends early once you consent to immediate supply and first use a paid entitlement (for example issuing an API key or receiving paid-tier data). Yes. No credit card required. The free plan gives you 1 watchlist across the US core sources (FDA, CPSC, NHTSA) — enough to verify the data quality before committing. Upgrade when you need more sources, webhooks, or API access.
The API is rate-limited by plan — 120 (Starter), 300 (Pro), and 600 (Business) requests per minute — plus a shared daily fair-use ceiling. Requests over the limit get an HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header, so you can back off and retry; nothing is billed per event and no recall is dropped from the feed. Need higher throughput? Business or Enterprise.
The same product often gets recalled by more than one agency — under a different notice number, in a different format, sometimes weeks apart. Incident-linking clusters those notices by shared GTIN, brand, firm, and date into one incident, so you see every jurisdiction a recall touched instead of piecing it together yourself. It's included from Pro up, in the dashboard and over the API (GET /incidents/:id).
